Bio

Hi! My name is Sergey Slukin, I'm 40, married, have 2 kids, based in Moscow, Russia, travel a lot, have a long story with Microsoft, and here is a short info about me:

I studied Applied Mathematics and Physics at Moscow Aviation Institute back in 1997 and probably have forgotten most of that.

On the other hand I was keen on computers so I used to read a lot of books and was mostly self taught on the subject. So I started my career as a software developer in 1999. First it was MS Access, SQL Server 7.0 and classic ASP. Then I tried different things: Pearl, PHP, Cold Fusion, Borland/Inprise Delphi, C++ Builder, J Builder, etc, but eventually I chose Microsoft stack of technologies. At the same time I had to do some system administration of Windows NT/2000, IIS, AD, DNS, DHCP, Proxy Server, Exchange, etc.

With the release of .NET in 2002 I started development with this new platform, especially ASP.NET. The same year I got aqcuainted with Microsoft SharePoint and I had lots of development, installation, customizations projects since then and I still do, but now mostly with SharePoint Online. In 2004 I got aqcuainted with Microsoft Dynamics CRM my another favorite product that I still work with quite a lot. In parallel I had lots of things to do with Windows Server, SQL Server and BI.

I used to work for numerous companies like Luxoft/IBS, Maersk Sealand, Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Amdocs, Microsoft. I held positions like senior and lead developer, business analyst, engineer. Check my CV on LinkedIn

In 2008 I started my carreer as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). I'm still an active MCT, spending arond 50% of time delivering trainings. I work with local companies like Softline, Academy of Networking (Lanit), IT Academy as well as global ones - Global Knowledge, QA, LLPA.

I have around 60 Microsoft certifications on .NET, SharePoint, Office 365, Azure, DevOps, Dynamics 365, Windows and Windows Server, SQL Server, Power BI, etc. Certifications are required for my company partner status with Microsoft and to deliver official Microsoft trainings. For the past 15 years I travel because of my job, as a tourist, sometimes up to 80% of my time I'm on travel. Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's exhausting, but still fun. I like airports, planes, trains, hotels, rental cars, new and old places, walking into bars and restaurants, discovering cities and small villages, architecture, churches and mosques, nature, parks, mountains, rivers and lakes, I like to go to cinemas, theaters and musicals. So far I have visited 30 countries, mostly in Europe, still way to go!

I fluently speak English, a little bit of German, Spanish and French. I like to study lunguages, wish I had more time!

So, what do I do now? Apart from training I'm a managing partner at ISDK, we are Gold Microsoft partner, helping our clients implement modern solutions with Microsoft technologies - Dynamics 365 CRM, e-commerce and omnichannel, SharePoint portals, custom solutions on Azure, Power Platform, Power BI, mobile app development, etc. Let's get in touch, I'll help you wherever I can with Microsoft stuff.
